My Results with Tom.

Questionnaire answered by my client:
1. What were your initial goals? And did you achieve them?
My initial goals were to lose some weight and learn a bit more about nutrition, as I thought my weight gain could be due to a change within my metabolism (from higher rate to slower rate). I have always been slim with a flat tummy and I really didn’t like having ‘love handles’ and a rounded tummy, nor feeling my clothes getting tighter and tighter.
2. What’s training with Tom like? Was it as you expected it to be?
Training with Tom was/is really good as he is a brilliant motivator and always make sure I know why I am doing what I am doing regarding my diet, my training and my specific exercises. He is always happy to support me as well as to answer any questions I have throughout the week, follow my progress daily and give me some positive feedback. Training with Tom is everything I wanted it to be and more. He takes the time to listen and to make changes to meet my needs, therefore making the training hard and painful (ish) but enjoyable. He also makes sure that whatever diets he designs for me they are keeping me happy, giving me enough energy and are enjoyable.
3. What have you learnt with Tom?
When I first started with Tom I thought I knew a fair bit about exercising (having always been active) and about eating ‘healthily’, but then after few regular meetings/sessions with Tom I realised that my knowledge was no more than a drop in the ocean. I have learnt the importance of developing good eating habits, knowing your micros and how much of each you should eat, counting calories, the importance of calories in versus calories out, the different ways of exercising (cardio, HIIT, weight training…) and the benefits for each of these. I have also learnt the importance of drinking water, of sleeping, of giving enough time to your body to recover from any type of training and to use the weight scales as a tool.
4. How has the transformation been?
The transformation has been fairly progressive but absolutely amazing. I have learnt so much and discovered myself on so many levels… I have realised that my body can take more pain than I give it credit for and that there is always a little margin to push further. I have also realised that I love weight training and the feeling of working each muscle groups deeper. I have become so much more aware of calories in general and how to deal with them in my everyday life instead of dreading them. All in all I have come to realise that what has started as ‘wanting to lose some weight and learn a bit more about nutrition’ has become my way of life and feels completely natural to me.
5. What’s changed for you?
(Nutrition, training lifestyle)
One of the big change in my life is that I don’t binge snack anymore. I used to eat throughout the day, be it ‘healthy food such as fruits, nuts and homemade bread, but now I plan my meals the day before and spread the food according to my needs.
The other big change is that I now exercise 5 times a week regardless of how I feel (except for migraines or back issues) and have set up my own mini gym at home with all the equipment necessary to train on the programmes Tom makes for me.
I can’t see myself leaving my life any other way and even though many people think I am obsess, I can honestly say that I enjoy the new me and have every intention to stick to my training and my eating.
